Sustainability at Weyerhaeuser

Did You Know?

Weyerhaeuser's 2007 total shareholder return--10.96%--outperformed the Standard & Poor's 500 Index.

Hire America's Heroes creates "neural networks" between corporations and the military to promote employment of veterans. Leaders from Weyerhaeuser and four other Seattle-based companies formed this non-profit organization in 2007. A growing number of veterans work at Weyerhaeuser, such as Paul Baltadonis (pictured at right). In 2007, the company hired more than 200 people who identified themselves as veterans.

We're working toward this future every day: Researching and developing low-carbon transportation fuel made from cellulose-based sources. Committing to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Delivering distinctive products to market. Focusing on a safe, inclusive workplace for all employees. And managing our environmental impact to reduce our footprint on the Earth.
